Sold by Aldi: butcher calls back minced meat because of plastic foreign bodies

Tillman’s Qualitätsmetzgerei GmbH from Rheda-Wiedenbrück in North Rhine-Westphalia has started a recall for the product “My Butchery - Mixed Minced Meat”. According to company information, small plastic parts could be contained in the meat sold at Aldi.

Meat may contain red plastic foreign bodies

Tillman’s Qualitätsmetzgerei GmbH from Rheda-Wiedenbrück (North Rhine-Westphalia) is recalling the product “Meine Metzgerei - Mixed Minced Meat”, 500g, with the consumption data 07/27/19 (Aldi Süd) and 07/28/19 (Aldi Nord). "It cannot be ruled out that small, red plastic foreign bodies are contained in the product concerned," says a message published on the Internet portal "". And further: "Customers who bought the product mentioned should not consume the product."

Sold in 14 states

According to the information, the product with the affected usage date was sold by Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd in parts of the following federal states:

Baden-Württemberg, Brandenburg, Bavaria, Berlin, Hamburg, Hesse, Mecklenburg-West Pomerania, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein and Thuringia.

Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd have already taken the affected packs out of sale.

Purchased packs can also be returned to the manufacturer without a sales receipt against reimbursement of postage and the purchase price or returned to the respective shops.
